The game starts with players choosing from a range of wizards, 14 at launch, all capable of massive magical feats, prepared with a starting set of spells, and leading a particular fantasy race. This is a modern remake of the classic of the ‘90s, which works well for fans of the fantasy strategy space. I played a pre-launch version of it on the PC using Steam. Master of Magic is developed by MuHa Games and Eerie Forest Studio, with publishing in the hands of Slitherine Ltd. Maybe the help of a few capable heroes? Some alliances with other wizards? A focus on gaining control over as much of the world as possible? Or simply an ability to win tactical battles when the odds are not in your favor?
What does it take to become the most capable wizard of two linked realms? A good spell collection, surely, as well as capable armies that can occupy cities and generate resources.
